On May 23, a meeting of representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Branch of the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities took place in the town of Petrykivka, attended by over 50 participants, including representatives from nearly 30 communities of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
During the event, the following topics were discussed:
Practical cases in communities regarding the reintegration of veterans into civilian life, the creation of veteran spaces, community associations, rehabilitation spaces, etc.; Practical measures were presented by Nataliia Kovalenko, the head of the Petrykivska community, together with her team. Participants of the meeting also had the opportunity to visit the veteran space and talk to combatants about its functioning in the community. Representatives of the NGO VETERAN HUB presented projects related to psychological support for veterans, families of fallen soldiers, job search for veterans, grant support, etc. Current issues regarding the development of local plans for the management of internally displaced persons in communities were also discussed.
Together with representatives of the State Enterprise “Kharkiv State Forest Inventory Expedition” and the Southeast Interregional Forest and Hunting Administration, participants discussed relevant issues regarding the step-by-step plan for local self-government bodies regarding the maintenance and preservation of forest belts and forest areas owned by municipalities.
