Members of the Board of the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities, including Volodymyr Kuchma, Ivan Slobodianyk, Yuriy Bova, Oleh Chernobai, and Serhiy Khrustovskyi, participated in the 2nd International Summit of Cities and Regions organized by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
“Our communication, exchange of experience, and establishment of international cooperation are extremely important processes. Even today, in the conditions of war, we must continue to effectively lead communities towards a successful future based on the principles of the democratic world,” stated the Executive Director of the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities, Ivan Slobodianyk.
During the event, over 100 delegates from 16 countries and more than 150 representatives from our territorial communities and regions discussed the integration of their projects and needs with European communities and their opportunities.
Among the main topics of the summit:
✅ Recovery and development of communities
✅ Achievements and challenges of European integration of Ukraine at the regional level
✅ Opportunities for economic development
✅ Investments in community development
✅ Humanitarian demining of agricultural land
✅ Support for internally displaced persons
✅ Rehabilitation of war victims.
Additionally, over 10 international agreements in the fields of medicine, rehabilitation, and infrastructure restoration will be signed at the summit.
In particular, 7 new agreements will be signed on cooperation between cities and regions. Among them is the Agreement on Cooperation between the Avanhardivska Village Council, chaired by a member of the Board of our association, Serhiy Khrustovskyi, and the Anenii Noi District Council (Republic of Moldova).
